mbracing the Artistic Journey: Creating Seasonal Series for Inspiration and Success

As I embark on my journey of establishing an art business, I have come to a profound realization—art production requires a different mindset. While many of us approach art as a hobby, drawing inspiration from a single photograph or moment, as professional artists, we must foster cohesion between our works and cultivate an abundance of ideas to sustain us through a vast body of creations.

During conversations with fellow artists who have made painting their full-time vocation, I discovered a valuable nugget of wisdom—an approximate quantity of 120 original works per year. Not only do we have to paint all of these pieces, but we also need to find tools and techniques to discover ample inspiration and subjects for each and every one. This is where the beauty of creating seasonal series comes into play, offering a helping hand and a sense of excitement for both ourselves and our clients.

Today, I am thrilled to share my personal journey as I plan and execute several months of painting series. As I am close to wrapping up my captivating spring mini collections,. I am eagerly anticipating the commencement of my upcoming summer series.

May : "Spring in the Mountains" 3 works in total Spring in the Mountains: Capturing the essence of nature's rebirth, this series transports viewers to awe-inspiring landscapes adorned with vibrant blooms, the rising and setting of the sun, and majestic peaks. Through a palette of lively hues and intricate brushwork, my aim was to bring forth the rejuvenating spirit of spring, where hope and renewal dance hand in hand.

June : "Coastal Daisies" 7 works in total

Coastal Daisies: As the warm embrace of summer envelops us, I invite you to join me on a journey to the tranquil seaside, where wild daisies dot the Rocky Pacific North West shores. Through this series, I seek to encapsulate the serenity and tranquility of coastal living, exploring the interplay of sunlight and shadows, and celebrating the simple beauty that unfolds amidst the sound of crashing waves.

July : "Tranquil waters" 6 Pieces total

Today, I am thrilled to share with you the next chapter of my artistic journey—the "Tranquil Waters" series. The mere thought of immersing myself in this captivating theme fills my heart with excitement and creative energy. Through this collection, I aim to explore the serene allure of water and invite you to join me on this enchanting visual voyage.

Picture this: gentle ripples dancing across a calm lake, the soothing sound of a babbling brook, or the rhythmic crashing of waves upon a pristine shore. "Tranquil Waters" encapsulates the peaceful beauty that water imparts upon our senses—a theme that has long captivated my imagination.

To give you a glimpse into the upcoming collection, I've prepared a couple of watercolor sketches that will transport you into this world of tranquility. These initial brushstrokes, created with love and anticipation, serve as a preview of the larger works that will soon grace my canvas.

he centerpiece of this series will consist of two larger pieces, measuring an expansive 24x24 inches, Painted in acrylic on canvas. These substantial works will capture the essence of tranquil waters in all their grandeur. With bold strokes, glazes, veils and a masterful interplay of colors, I aspire to convey the vastness and serenity that can only be found where water meets the horizon.

In addition to the larger works, I will also be creating a series of smaller pieces, measuring 12x12 inches, each a testament to the intimate beauty hidden within water's tranquil embrace. Through these smaller canvases, I hope to reveal the delicate dance of light and reflection, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the captivating details that lie within.

With every brushstroke, I endeavor to transport you to a place of calm and serenity—a haven where the mind finds solace and the soul discovers tranquility. Through the medium of acrylic on canvas, I will capture the fluidity and movement of water, as well as its reflective properties, inviting you to lose yourself in its mesmerizing depths.

I invite you to imagine the transformative power of these paintings adorning the walls of your favorite spaces, infusing your environment with a sense of peace and serenity. Whether displayed individually or as a curated collection, "Tranquil Waters" promises to evoke a soothing ambiance, a visual sanctuary where the mind can wander and find respite from the chaos of everyday life.

As I embark on this artistic endeavor, I invite you to join me on this journey of exploration and immersion into the world of "Tranquil Waters." Stay tuned as I dive deeper into my creative process, breathing life into these sketches and transforming them into captivating masterpieces.

In the coming weeks, I will be sharing sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes insights, and the creative process behind each creation. Together, let us celebrate the boundless beauty of water and revel in the tranquility it imparts upon our souls.
