What is Live Wedding Painting?
Live wedding painting is an artistic experience where I capture key moments from your wedding day in real-time. I arrive early to photograph the venue, plan the composition, and start painting the background in acrylics. During the key moments, like your first dance, I take additional photos and use a portable projector to accurately paint you and your guests into the scene. The final piece is then finished in oils in my studio for lasting quality.
How does the process work?

Before the Event: I arrive early to photograph the venue and determine the best composition for the painting. I use my portable projector to accurately draw the layout onto the canvas.

During the Event: I take more photos during key moments (such as the first dance) from similar angles to ensure the painting remains cohesive. I ask guests to briefly stand in for you and your partner for scale during your dance, allowing me to frame the painting perfectly.

After the Event: I complete the painting in my studio, adding the final details and ensuring the piece is polished. Once finished, the painting is varnished for protection and sent to you.
What size options do you offer for wedding paintings?
Here are the size options:

16x20": This size is great for a smaller venue or if you prefer a more intimate piece. It includes the full-day booking, original artwork, studio touch-ups, and shipping. Price: $900 CAD.

18x24": A slightly larger size, perfect for a more detailed representation. Price: $1200 CAD.

24x36": Ideal for larger venues or if you want a more expansive piece. Price: $1600 CAD.

30x40": If you’re looking for an even bigger, more dramatic painting, this is an option I can offer with arrangements for pickup or delivery. Price: $2300 CAD (or $2100 CAD with self-pickup).

Can I have specific features of the venue included in the painting?
Absolutely! Many couples love incorporating unique elements from their venue, like the reception tent, landscaping, or outdoor features. The focus will remain on you and your guests, but I can blend in the venue’s beauty to make the painting feel truly personal.
What if I want to include both guests and the venue in the painting?
I can work with you to ensure the venue remains a prominent part of the painting while also highlighting key moments with you, your partner, and your guests. If your reception is outdoors, I can capture the open sky and natural surroundings, all while keeping you and your guests as the focal point.
How do I book a session and what are the payment terms?
To start the booking process, I recommend a quick discovery call to discuss details such as the size of the painting, your preferred moments to capture, and any additional considerations. Once everything is settled, we can confirm the booking and payment details. A deposit is required to secure the date.

Since I’ve recently returned to live wedding painting, my style has evolved, and I’m excited to share my progress with you.
