Created in May 2011, 12 of Montreals most dedicated, talented and beautiful dancers joined forces to create some of the hottest fusion belldance works Montreal has to offer marked by innovative concepts and immaginiative costuming Noca Bellydance is sure to impress.
Merrying a blend of world dances, gothic and punk subcultures, modern and classical music, Nocta bellydance attempts to show a darker sexier side of tribal fusion while retaining some of the authenticity of Middle Eastern Dance.
Founder and choreographer Andrea Fryett has studied the folkloric dances of the middle east and the traditional music which accompanies it. She has also spent many years experimenting with modern dances, ballet, latin dances, urban dances, and drama. Her many years of experimenting gave her a rich blend of movement language which sets Nocta apart from the norm.
